Council Conclusions on the Global Strategy on the European Union's Foreign and Security Policy

In these Council conclusions, the EU MS reaffirm their endorsement of the European Union’s Global Strategy (EUGS). The Council underlines Member States' ownership and involvement throughout the process.

It recalls the five strategic priorities presented in the EUGS and highlights the need of incorporating cross-cutting dimension into all policy areas, such as the sustainable development goals, human rights and gender mainstreaming. It also welcomes the Commission's ongoing work to develop a European Defence Action Plan.
