Civilian Crisis Management Contexts (CCM Contexts)
On the Context of Civilian Crisis Management from the European Centre of Excellence for Civilian Crisis Management (CoE)
The CoE supports its members (currently 22 Member States of the European Union) and EU institutions, particularly the EEAS, in implementing their commitments under the Civilian CSDP Compact and, more generally, helps enhance civilian capabilities to strengthen EU crisis management.
As part of this work, the CoE analyses the contexts in which Civilian CSDP and EU Civilian Crisis Management operate to identify challenges, opportunities, and issues to be considered. In this section of our website, which is called CCM Contexts, we undertake to embed the implementation of the Civilian CSDP Compact and related activities into a broader and more narrative-based policy-context, thus contributing to analysis and seeking to inform debates among practitioners, policymakers, think tankers, experts, and others on these topics.
CCM Contexts are written by CoE staff, Senior Advisors, or by external experts.
The views expressed in CCM Contexts are those of the individual authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the CoE.
