Implementing Guidelines for the EU Policy on Training for CSDP (2017)

This a working document of the European  External  Action  Service  (EEAS) published shortly before the EU Policy on Training for CSDP. The aim of this document is to prepare the implementation of this policy by defining responsibilities, chain of command, workflow, and decision-making processes.

This document clarifies various aspects of the EU Policy on Training for CSDP: its governance, the organisation of the training cycle (planning, conduct, evaluation and assessment), the foreplaned EU CSDP Training Programme, its certification and recognition, the CSDP Training targeted audience, and the requirements to implement such policy. It also provides a glossary of the CSDP training’s related notions, which may be helpful to read before going to the core of the document.

These guidelines have been updated in 2022.
