Luxembourg submitted a request for membership in 2024, and this was unanimously approved by all existing members at the CoE’s 8th General Meeting in November 2024, as per the process for approval.

The CoE functions primarily for its members, providing a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and expert advice on the topic of civilian crisis management. We look forward to supporting Luxembourg through these various service offerings - helping to strengthen the country’s national civilian crisis management capabilities and, in turn, contributing to stronger and more effective EU Civilian CSDP missions.

As the CoE's membership expands, the Centre remains committed to continuing to facilitate informal dialogue and exchange between its members. Through discussion, sharing of good practices, and pooling of knowledge and resources, the CoE hopes to support its members to deliver on both national and EU-wide commitments to civilian CSDP.

The addition of Luxembourg to the CoE underlines our continued development and recognition as a key actor within the field of EU civilian crisis management. The CoE warmly welcomes its newest member!

CoE membership is open to all EU member states and NATO allies. If you are interested in joining or have questions about membership, please do not hesitate to contact us.
