EU Policy on Training for CSDP

This policy note clarifies priorities for the training of professionals directly involved in the CSDP whether in national capitals, missions, operations, or in Brussels.

It is complementary to the CSDP Training Guidelines and CSDP Training Programme.
According to this note, the EU Policy on Training for CSDP should: i) serve EU principles and values; ii) promote a complete (i.e formal and practical) training, help building staff capacities and guarantee its security; iii) enable a shared responsibility between EU’s Member States, institutions and dedicated bodies by setting shared standards between Members States and going toward a compatibility with other international organisations’ training programmes.
