Community of Practice Talks – Climate and Security in Crisis Management and Peace Keeping

The CoE is hosting talks around Climate and Security in Crisis Management and Peacekeeping, held around six times a year. Documentation from previous sessions, together with resources shared by participants and plans for upcoming sessions can be found on this page.

Purpose

The CoP Talks aim to consolidate the community of practice on climate and security that has developed in recent years among colleagues in EU headquarters, missions, regional and multilateral organisations, governments, implementing partners, think tanks, and civil society. They are open to all but primarily intended for those working on climate, environment, and security in or around missions and external action. The format promotes knowledge sharing and mutual learning, with a focus on practical, day-to-day issues related to the climate-security nexus, where colleagues can benefit from each other’s experience through open discussion and collegial support.
