The CoE is hosting talks around the engagement of Rule of Law practitioner civilian crisis management. Two meetings will be held in 2026, with more planned going forward based on interest. Documentation from previous sessions, together with resources shared by participants and plans for upcoming sessions can be found on this page.

Purpose

The Rule of Law Community of Practice, hosted by the European Centre of Excellence for Civilian Crisis Management, provides a strategic platform to advance coherent, effective, and values-based Rule of Law engagement within civilian crisis management. By convening practitioners, policymakers, and experts from missions, Member States, EU institutions, and partner organisations, it supports the alignment of operational practice with EU policy objectives, fosters a shared understanding of emerging challenges, and contributes to the continuous strengthening of capabilities in complex and evolving crisis environments.
