Nicholas is a Political Assistant at the CoE and is primarily assigned to the Strategic Coordinator/Head of Sector for Internal Project and Process Management. He also supports permanent staff and seconded national experts in various tasks in the field of EU Foreign and Security Policy and civilian CSDP.
Before joining the CoE, Nicholas was a Project Assistant for Communications at the Munich Security Conference (MSC), where he, among other things, assisted in the development and realization of the communication plan ahead of the Munich Security Conference 2023. In his role, he organized appointments with the media and accompanied the MSC’s leadership to various public events and appointments, while also being the communications liason for various high-ranking delegations attending the conference, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, and Germany. He also has experience as a teaching assistant for Politics, History and Geography at a German public high school.
Nicholas holds a master’s degree in European Studies with a specialization in International Relations from Maastricht University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in European Studies. He speaks German, English, French and Turkish and is conversational in Dutch, Italian and Spanish.
