Martina Schmidt is the Head of Director’s Office, supporting the Director in managing the strategic and operational business of the CoE, including with a view to personnel and resource management, organisational development, and stakeholder relationships.

Martina brings many years of strategic and operational experience in European foreign and security policy from the countries of the (extended) European Eastern Neighbourhood. She has worked with the European External Action Service, the Council of Europe, the OSCE, and most recently on a project in the EU Partnership Mission in Moldova.
