Throughout her career, Denisa has developed expertise in strategic communications, policy research, and international relations through various roles in academia, think tanks, and UN agencies such as the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).
Denisa has been actively engaged in advocacy and training related to nuclear disarmament. She was awarded the OSCE-UNODA Scholarship for Peace and Security 2021, participating in training on arms control and disarmament. Additionally, she was part of the "Here Come the Women" Leadership Programme 2022, aimed at empowering young female leaders. Her advocacy includes representing youth perspectives on nuclear disarmament at the 1st Meeting of States Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) and collaborating with the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) Deutschland.
Denisa holds a Master of Arts in Comparative International Relations, specialising in Politics and Development Institutions, from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, Italy, from which she graduated with honours. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Languages, Civilization, and Science of Language, with a focus on International Politics, from the same university.
