Andreas is the Head of Sector for Internal Process and Project Management. He has a background in humanitarian assistance and extensive experience working with partners and in partner countries across East and West Africa, as well as the Middle East.

Prior to joining the CoE, Andreas worked as a Senior Advisor for Strategic Partnerships at the International Rescue Committee (IRC). In this role, he served as the focal point for IRC’s strategic cooperation with the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO). He has worked in project management and development for various INGOs, on humanitarian policy in the Stabilization Directorate of the GFFO, and for GIZ in Nigeria. During this time, he worked in a range of crisis contexts, including Sudan, Somalia, South Sudan, and Iraq.

Andreas is fluent in German and English and has intermediate proficiency in Spanish. He holds a Master’s degree in International Development Studies from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Politics from Bielefeld University.
